Urgent Call to Action

Opposition to Greenhaven and Vista Grove at the State Capitol

Monday, 11:30am

Room 216

Neighbors Against Greenhaven, Citizens in Opposition to Greenhaven and DeKalb Strong will be at the State Capitol tomorrow, Monday, 11:30am. The DeKalb delegation of state legislators are having their last meeting before Crossover Day, Thursday, March 7. We would like to show them, again, there is tremendous opposition to Greenhaven, Ga and Vista Grove. We will not be able to speak in the meeting so if you’d like to bring your sign as a show of support that would be great. There are 6 signs left that I’ll bring with me.

If you’ve never been to the State Capitol this is great opportunity to see how the sausage is made. If you’d like to come early and see the Capitol in session it’s a great learning experience. If you go up the grand staircase on the right and turn right once you get to the top the House of Representatives are there. If once you get to the top of the stairs and turn left the State Senators room is down the hall on your right.

Remember to bring your ID with you as you can’t enter the Capitol without it. When you enter you are actually on the 2nd floor. Room 216 is your first right when you enter the building. You are not allowed to speak during the meeting, but you are allowed to enter. You can speak directly, wave or show your sign as they enter the room.
